Founded in 1906, Railroad magazine was the first, and one of the most popular railroad enthusiast periodicals, containing first-hand railroad stories and informative articles. It was published until 1979 when it merged with Railfan magazine to form Railfan & Railroad, now published monthly by White River Productions.
To celebrate the storied magazine, Micro-Trains is releasing a twelve-car series of unique 40-foot high-cube boxcars. Each car features unique artwork replicating the cover art of notable issues, including the month and year of each issue and even the original cover price. A short description of the cover is also printed on each car. The eighth car in this series (SKU 101 00 887) celebrates the October 1937 issue of Railroad Magazine, with exquisite artwork featuring “The Man at the Switch”.
Each car includes truck-mounted Micro-Trains couplers, flat car sides for beautiful artwork reproduction and separately applied brake wheel and end ladder. Contact your favorite authorized Micro-Trains dealer or order direct. MSRP $27.95 per car.
