Atlas Model Railroad Company has released a new 40-foot reefer container in O scale that is now available for purchase directly from Atlas or from your favorite dealer.

Since the 1970s most international freight has been shipped by standardized 20- and 40-foot containers. This model represents a standard 40-foot high-cube refrigerated container (ISO Type Code 45R1) of composite construction found in many shipping and leasing fleets. The containers can be purchased painted for a number of shipping companies, including NYK Logistics, K-Line, Maersk-Sealand, Ocean Network Express (ONE), and undecorated.

Atlas’ new O scale containers are highly detailed with road-specific roof markings and a host of end details.  End details include separately-applied door bars on the back and etched metal screens over the fan on the nose-mounted refrigeration units.
