1900’s era 68-foot Passenger Coach
HO – As railroads solidified their position as the primary mode of local and long range transportation in the late 1800s, the need for higher capacity passenger cars became apparent. To meet the demand, newer, longer passenger car designs entered service. Now available from Bachmann Trains is an all-new 1900’s era 68-foot passenger car based on a Boston & Maine prototype. Features include clear windows, knuckle couplers, blackened metal wheelsets and a detailed underframe.

Short-Body Bay Window Caboose
HO – Also arriving now from Bachmann is its latest production of its short-body bay window cabooses for HO scale. This model replicates the design pioneered by the Missouri Pacific Railroad beginning in the mid-1970s. Contrary to popular belief, these cars were built as “road” cabooses for long distance freights, and were not limited to local service.
Roadnames for this new release include Missouri Pacific #13061, CSX #16624, Louisville & Nashville #6600 (Family Lines livery), Southern Pacific #1 (orange and red C-50-10), and Union Pacific #13737 in yellow and lastly, an orange/gray Union Pacific Maintenance of Way scheme lettered for MP #7504. Each caboose includes near-scale handrails, underbody brake hardware, clear windows, 33” machined metal wheelsets and knuckle couplers. $87.00 each. Available now from your favorite dealer or direct.

N – N scalers need not fret, as Bachmann will be offering this short-body bay window caboose in late 2027 in N scale for Missouri Pacific, Union Pacific (yellow), CSX and Southern Pacific. HO Model Shown.
